Based on the ending of Season 1,Adults has plenty of exciting things to work with in Season 2. As fans will recall, the Season 1 finale teased a romantic turn for housemates Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) and Anton (Owen Thiele), which could certainly upend the dynamic they have with their fellow roommates, including Paul’s girlfriend Issa (Amita Rao). When Paul Baker’s visa was about to expire, all of his housemates offered to marry him when Issa decided she couldn’t, in order for him to stay in the country. In the final minutes, it was revealed that the Canadian chose Anton, and when the rest of the housemates urged them to kiss, the pair felt an immediate spark, and it instantly made the vibes shift.

In Season 2, the friends will face questions like, what if the 20-year-old who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were, and younger than you’ll ever be again? How do you explain to your friends that you actually love your boring office job? Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self? And how do you ask for things to change, when you also need everything to stay the same?

Together, the friends weave intricate webs of multi-player strategy just to avoid hurting someone else’s feelings. They invent elaborate workarounds for problems they’re too afraid to face head-on. It’s not so much that they keep learning the same lessons – it’s that they keep finding new ways to make mistakes. But the one thing they consistently get right: showing up for each other.

Who will star in Adults Season 2?

Adults will see the return of the core friend group, including Innanen, Thiele, and Rao, alongside Malik Elassal and Lucy Freyer. And following in the footsteps of Season 1’s stacked cast of guest stars, Season 2 will make way for Raven-Symoné as Anton’s sister, Susie Essman as the mother to one of Billie’s former classmates, Gaten Matarazzo, Zosia Mamet, Ben Marshall, Jake Shane, and Isaac Powell.
