President Donald Trump’s approval rating has ticked up slightly, according to a new poll.
A YouGov/The Economist poll conducted between May 23 and May 26 found that among registered voters, 46% approved of how Trump is handling his job as president, while 52% expressed disapproval.
Among U.S. adults surveyed, 44% approved of how Trump is managing things in the Oval Office, while 52% said they disapproved.

In that poll, 45% of registered voters approved Trump’s handling of the presidency and 52% said they disapproved. Among U.S. adults surveyed, 43% expressed approval, while 51% expressed disapproval.
Of the respondents who disapprove of Trump’s handling of the presidency, 92% identified themselves as Democrats, 56% as Independents, and 10% as Republicans, according to the new poll.

The new poll also asks respondents about the health of Trump and former President Joe Biden.
The question comes a week following the release of CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson’s “Original Sin,” a book that details an alleged “cover-up” of Biden’s mental decline in office.
The poll reveals that 57% of Americans, including 28% who identify as Democrats, believe that the Democrats tried to hide information about Biden’s health during his presidency. A total of 42% of Americans stated Trump is being transparent about his health, while 31% said Biden is transparent about his health.
