Steve Aoki and Lil Jon Reimagine a Trap Classic on “Get Lower”

Steve Aoki is back with his first single of 2024, and this time he’s teaming up with Lil Jon for a modern reimagining of Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz’ seminal 2003 classic, “Get Low”. More than 20 years later, Aoki and Lil Jon decided it was time for fans to “Get Lower”. This is the fourth collaboration between the superstar DJ/producer and the King of Crunk. The two first got together back in 2011 on “Turbulence” and they’ve been fast friends ever since.

“Jon and I have been friends for years, and whenever we get together on a track, it’s a party,” Steve Aoki says. “When we performed at Tomorrowland last year, the energy was off the charts, and we knew we had to create another festival anthem. ‘Get Low’ is one of the most hype tracks of all time, and it’s an honor to work with Jon to bring it back for the next generation.”

“It’s crazy that Steve reached out to me about this song, especially considering it’s the 20th anniversary of the track this year!” Lil Jon says. “I’m grateful for our friendship over the years, and there’s no better way to honor this milestone for ‘Get Low.’”

Check out the official music video for Steve Aoki & Lil Jon’s latest, “Get Lower.” The video highlights the decade-plus long friendship of the two iconic artists and some of their best performances together all the way up to their appearance together at Tomorrowland last year.
