House music duo Dave + Sam release an official music video for their latest track, “Love Feels” out via Moodswing Music. It is the follow up single to their debut project No Shade released via Defected Records Classic Imprint. Dave (Dave Giles II) is also fresh off a co-write on Beyonce’s “Cozy” on the Renaissance album. For this shoot, they were inspired by the aesthetics of Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” music video and the surrealism of Wes Anderson films.
They celebrate independent artistry and hustle culture while challenging masculine friendships and self-care. All the homies should get manis and pedis, they share!
This is a love letter to our fellow independent artists and anyone forging their own path. While ultimately fulfilling, the pursuit of our dreams isn’t always rewarded. Love Feels explores the fantasy of receiving those flowers while challenging conventions of what masculine friendships and self care look like. Inspired by the vibrant aesthetic of Destiny Child’s ‘Say My Name’ video and the surrealist composition of Wes Anderson films, director Cor.ece showcases the full spectrum of Dave and Sam’s personalities and perspectives.
