The next-best-placed album belongs to Leicester indie-pop outfit Easy Life, whose debut Life’s A Beach (Island) is at No. 2 on the chart blast, and has notched the most combined physical sales so far this week.

Meanwhile, veteran Scottish rockers Texas are new at No. 3 with their 10th studio album Hi (BMG). The compilation was the most downloaded over the Bank Holiday weekend, according to the Official Charts Company, and it’s on track to become Texas’ highest-charting release since The Greatest Hits reached No. 1 in 2000.

Taylor Swift sweeps back into the midweek Top 10 with Evermore (EMI), which enjoys a spike following its release on vinyl. The former chart-leader returns at No. 4, ahead of Scottish band Del Amitri’s Fatal Mistakes (Cooking Vinyl), their first album in 19 years. Fatal Mistakes is at No. 5 on the midweek chart.

Further down the list, David Bowie’s posthumous rarities release The Width of a Circle (No. 7 via Parlophone), Black Midi’s Cavalcade (No. 8 via Rough Trade), Bugzy Malone’s The Resurrection (No. 9 via B Somebody), and Blackberry Smoke’s You Hear Georgia (No. 10 via 3 Legged) are shooting for the top tier.

The Official U.K. Singles and Albums Charts are published late Friday, local time.
