Review: The Pondhawks- “Afraid of Love” by Jason Prince & Oli London

“Afraid of Love” beautifully takes our daydreaming into a 60’s movie soundtrack of every feel good film we have ever seen.

Almost SGT. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Bandish, but sweeter and purely intoxicating. The harmonies area a cross between the Mama & Papas meets The Doors in a retrotastic 60’s delightful melodic time warp.

The Chicago based award-winning band are at the forefront of pop/rock music and take listeners on a journey of discovery through their indie rock spirited by classic rock influences- almost creating a new music genre with this fusion and twist of genres. With infectious melodies, a Beatles style vibe and lyrics that tell deep and meaningful stories- this eclectic band offer an edgy yet familiar sound that leaves you feeling upbeat and reinvigorated with energy.

So many of us in the harsh modern society are ‘afraid of love’ this takes us to a time of free love and lets us evaluate our priorities.

Carefree, happy, youthful bliss captured in a joyful single. This powerful message crosses all borders and reaches people of all nations and all backgrounds to come together and stop being afraid of loving others that are different. A song to embrace, appreciate and love those around us no matter their background, culture or nationality. The Pondhawks bring people together through their music, just as the Beatles did all the way back in the 60’s. Their message still resonates stronger than ever and now thanks to The Pondhawks, this message is delivered to younger generations and love is spread through their message around the world.
