White House says Afghan peace talks are ‘proceeding’

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (Reuters) – President Donald Trump met with his national security team on Friday to discuss Afghan peace talks and the meeting went “very well, and negotiations are proceeding,” the White House said in a statement.
