New York’s Cuomo says discussed infrastructure with Trump, railed against partisanship

Politics

(Reuters) – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday focused on how to “supercharge” the economy by investing in infrastructure, and he called on Republicans to approve federal funding to state and local governments crippled by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Pass a piece of legislation that is honorable and decent and does the right thing for all Americans. Why is that so hard?”, Cuomo told a briefing in Washington following his meeting with Trump.
