Video Review: "Electric" by Revolushn - The World News Network

I’m not sure how to categorize this genre defiant California rock band but I will say it’s unique. The video tells a story, I’m sure…….I’m just not sure what the story is……and that’s meant in a good way. With “Mars Rocks” concert footage, a small child on some kind of beach, A fluorescent checkerboard background, and a handsome homeless man, it’s got to be delicious.

The song is full of rock n roll and features the drummer from Devo, Dave Kendrick and the sax player from Pink Floyd, Supertramp and Toto, Scott Page. Frontman No Mansfield (AKA Frank Schubert) starting playing guitar at age 5. He’s a sessions player and producer. Neil Nyberg the bass player is a musician and song writer and doubles in his own band, Nalamora. Kim Ashton is a singer and voice teacher at the School of Rock. Schubert Ola is a concert pianist from Russia who rebelled after she heard the Beatles, DEKAY (AKA Dave Kendrick) has been A lifetime professional musician and has been a member of the iconic band Devo, and Sparks. Scott Page has been a member of Pink Floyd and several other legendary bands. Together they are “Electric.”

If you watch the footage of their performance at The Globe Theater in LA during the Mars Rocks Gala you can see they are having fun. They rock! If a band is having fun you can bet the audience is as well! Just for the record……The Mars Rocks concert was a benefit to raise money and awareness for the travel and the colonization of Mars. That alone says something.

In any case the video is spectacular and covers the essence of today’s climate evoking hope and we can get through this no matter what. It pays to be “Electric” in today’s world…..It’s a hopeful, “I don’t give a damn”, you can’t tell me what to do kind of song. “Electric” is a song with an attitude, and we all need an attitude today.
