Cardi B has made another public service announcement.
In a new video posted to her socials, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper takes another deep dive into her thoughts surrounding the coronavirus. There are more question than answers as Cardi admits she’s about as confused as the rest of us.
Addressing her fans in a surgical mask, Cardi B dishes on celebrities, president Trump and the current administration for the flood of mixed messages on COVID-19, and for completely overlooking the real-life situation for many millions of Americans.
One thing is for certain, “the coronavirus is very much real,” Cardi says.
The Bronx hip-hop star continues, “If you’re positive for the coronavirus but you don’t have a crazy fever but you have a cold, and you’re sending people home. Where do you think you’re sending people home to? Not everyone has the luxury to go to a f—ing bedroom and to a big ass house and just stay away from people,” she says.
“A lot of people live in small-ass apartments with multiple people. If you’re sending me home and I have the coronaf—ingvirus I’m most likely going to give it to my spouse, my kids, anybody that’s around me.”
A lot of people don’t have the money for coronavirus tests, Cardi explains, even if they were available for the masses.
The chart-topping recording artist, who has campaigned for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, also slams the government for not being ill prepared for the epidemic, despite having the benefit of watching the virus sweep across Asia and Europe.
