These are the looks we loved.

Tonight, the 92nd annual Academy Awards ceremony (more commonly referred to as the Oscars, of course) rounds out awards season for the first half of 2020. The biggest night in film, the Oscars is the pinnacle event on the award season calendar for actors – and there’s plenty of famous names up for one of the coveted gold statues tonight. And whilst the ceremony itself is a highlight, so too is the red carpet that precedes it.

Margot Robbie, Laura Dern, Joaquin Phoenix, Scarlett Johansson and Cynthia Erivo are among those celebrities nominated tonight, each bringing a dose of style to the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.

Other key sartorial moments of the night include Billy Porter who started the carpet off on a high note, wearing a custom two piece creation by Giles Deacon, Spike Lee who paid tribute to Kobe Bryant with his custom Gucci tuxedo and Natalie Portman whose stunning Dior cape was embroidered with the names of the female directors who were not nominated at this year’s ceremony.
