Unfortunately, Negative Flash was a let down.
Since The Flash Season 6 Episode 8 is the episode before Crisis, we knew Ramsey had to be dealt with quickly.
However, Negative Flash did no more than giving us creepy smiles and follow Ramsey around. After all that build-up, you’d think there would be something bigger in store for Negative Flash.
Could Negative Flash at least have caused some mayhem?
Maybe have used his powers to gather victims for Ramsey to infect? Do something more than being a sidekick slash bodyguard.
Guess with all the money going into Crisis they needed to stay within a lower budget.
In sickness and in health.
Iris
At least some things never change. Iris proved once again why she is Mrs. West-Allen.
Her unwavering hope and trust in Barry never fails to be amazing.
Though she is often reckless and stubborn, her love for Barry rings true.
Iris going to face Negative Flash was noble and romantic in a way, but it was foolish.
She could have died. The tension was fierce as Negative Flash vibrated his hand in the eeriest echo of Reverse-Flash.
Iris is the true definition of courage and hope for this episode.
She supports our heroes when they lose faith in themselves. Iris has jumped off a building to save her husband, so it’s safe to say she is a ride or die kind of woman.
Iris: Our love story never ends Barry, even with Crisis.
Barry: Iris it’s inevitable.
Iris: Maybe, but whether you vanish or…worse I’m going to be right there with you. Right there till the very end, okay? Because the only thing more inevitable than crisis is us.
Cisco wasn’t as fierce a believer and was ready to let go of Barry.
Cisco’s argument with Iris was a tear-jerker, but you could see both points. Cisco saw no difference in losing Barry today or tomorrow.
Iris wanted every second with Barry before Crisis. She didn’t want this to be Barry’s legacy.
They were on opposite sides of the same team, and it went nowhere fast.
Thankfully Iris and Cisco communicated and worked together to get their solution.
They managed to get Barry’s message and follow his plan.
Allegra: You want me to do what?
Cisco: Barry’s plan is to let the light in. It isn’t for Ramsey to spread his infection to the city, it’s for you to spread the antidote.
Good on the writers to have so many throwbacks.
They used the MAC to capture and hold Ramsey that was introduced on The Flash Season 6 Episode 1.
Allegra ended up being the key to destroying Ramsey’s blood infection.
Her UV powers cured Barry and the citizens of Central City.
Ramsey continued to be terrifying.
Bravo to the makeup department because he looked even creepier than past episodes.
His widespread infection was a sight to behold.
As he created his zombie army there was an increased fear.
Flash this isn’t you.
Joe
Fear was the main ingredient for Ramsey to spread his disease, so he unleashed an army.
Shout out to the best duo of the episode. Cecile and Kamilla were stuck in a building full of zombies, and it was a horror movie.
They mesh well together, but then again trauma bonds you.
Having Cecile use her abilities to sense the zombies was genius.
You’d figure she would just implode with the chaos and fear outside, but maybe her powers don’t go that far yet.
Great to have use for Cecile’s gifts again. Empath’s are often overlooked but it’s a strong power.
On Charmed, Pheobe was able to use her empathic powers to reverse attacks against her. In theory, Cecile could use Killer Frost’s powers against her in a fight.
It would be interesting to see Cecile’s powers grow and whether her daughter will inherit anything.
Nash Wells has been through his share of trauma. Otherwise, why would he follow The Monitor into various Earths?
Also, wasn’the supposed to provide a solution to saving Barry? He never addressed how he planned to do that?
He was too busy trying to break through the stone and fight off Ramsey infected zombies.
My guess is that he doesn’t have the answer we are expecting. Nash Wells has so much mystery surrounding him, but something tells me he is more similar to past Wells than we think.
The gang sharing their feelings with Barry was so touching.
At first, I didn’t understand why Cecile seemed the most emotional, but then she’s an empath so she’s dealing with everyone’s emotions at once.
If you needed a reason to cry, Barry telling Joe he wanted to give Joe his watch was emotional.
Joe and Barry have always had a special relationship that often felt like that heart of the show.
Sidenotes:
- The ode to the comic version of Blood Work was great.
- How did Ramsey’s Mom get there?
- Did Allegra ever meet Caitlin before this epsiode?
- Why has no one brought up Nora? Crisis is here and he won’t be born.
- Why can’t Barry just make a copy of himself like the zoom situation?
- What if Iris was right and the one millionth and one version of the future has another ending?
- If Ramsey wasn’t in Barry’s visions of the future, shouldn’t look into other possibilities?
Now those moments are West-Allen but we remember the days of The Flash Season 1.
There is certainly with Crisis, and the anticipation is killer. Thankfully we don’t have to wait too much longer.
Well the sky is turning red, and Crisis is here!
Be sure to watch The Flash online before tuning in for Crisis on Infinate Earths staring December 8th.
