James Bond Fans Aren’t Sold On Daniel Craig’s New Look In No Time To Die

Movies

No Time to Die has officially wrapped filming, and the first looks at the movie are starting to come out. One such look shows Daniel Craig’s James Bond rocking a set of suspenders — and a nasty bruise — during a scene from Bond 25. Fans have been having fun with Bond’s new look, which is definitely a shake and stir away from his more polished suits:

There are a lot more farmer jokes out there, after Empire shared this first look image.

Yeah, James — or “Jimmy” — does look like he’s been working hard out there, doing a lot more than ordering martinis:

I’m particularly fond of this Titanic reference:

Well played. I like the new look, and apparently it won’t be the only suspenders shot we get from Daniel Craig in No Time to Die, since a paparazzi photo from set seemed to show a bloody Bond in a blue shirt with blue suspenders.

In No Time to Die, James Bond is basically retired and hanging out in Jamaica when his old buddy Felix Lester of the CIA turns up asking for help. The new mission is to rescue a kidnapped scientist, but — as usual — it turns out to be more treacherous than initially expected. That leads Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Rami Malek is playing the villain of No Time to Die, with most of the rest of the main cast returning from previous 007 movies. That includes Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, Ralph Fiennes as M, Léa Seydoux as Dr. Madeleine Swann, and Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter. Check out the updated cast list for No Time to Die.

No Time to Die had a wrap party last month, with an admittedly drunk Daniel Craig making a moving speech. However, the Bond actor — this time in a tux — and director Cary Fukunaga only just posted an official wrap photo for the movie:

A recent rumor alleged No Time to Die shot three different endings, ostensibly to keep the true ending secret. Will this indeed be Daniel Craig’s final Bond film? If so, that wrap photo above may be one of his final shots as James Bond.

Daniel Craig said in his wrap speech that he had a wonderful time making No Time to Die, but everyone on set must be at least slightly relieved to be finished (apart from post-production), since it was a troubled experience. Danny Boyle was the original director of Bond 25, but left over creative differences. There were rumors of set drama after Cary Fukunaga took over, and then there was Daniel Craig’s injury, which delayed production. Then there was that peeping tom business.

Now the drama will hopefully be saved for the big screen. No Time to Die is meant to wrap up the last two Bond movies, Skyfall and Spectre, but also bring “massive surprises.”

Fans are now waiting for a full trailer from No Time to Die, which has just given us Bond’s new look in the photo above and a rather underwhelming first poster. But the second poster is gonna CRUSH, just you wait! No Time to Die will open first on April 3, 2020 in the United Kingdom and then on April 8, 2020 over here.
