Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is absolutely massive this year, as 400,000 people are expected to attend the music festival and conference. Furthermore, it’s quite obvious the city’s dance music scene is absolutely thriving in 2019 — and here’s the proof.
This news comes as Dutch DJs are expected to generate €150 million in exports this year. In addition, dance music now accounts for 75% of music exports, according to a new report courtesy of ING economists and radio station 538.
“Dutch DJs have accounted for half or more of the top 10 DJs worldwide for the past seven years,” according to the report.
The top earners are reportedly Tiësto, Martin Garrix and Armin van Buuren — all of which are expected to throw down at ADE this year.
Over 2,500 artists will perform across 200 venues. Plus, about 600 speakers will present during the five-day program.
ADE 2019 runs today through Sunday.
