The Duchess of Sussex looks thrilled to be on set.

After a tough few days in the press, the Duchess of Sussex is shaking off the negativity and focusing on the things that are important to her. Namely, her work with Smart Works Charity, for whom she is creating a capsule fashion line to be released next month.

Today, Sussex Royal shared the first glimpse of the collection via a behind-the-scenes video of Meghan at a shoot and she looks elated to be back on a set.

In the two clips, Meghan can be seen greeting the models as they arrive (it’s evident they were unaware she was going to be there by the array of shocked looks on their faces), chatting with the photographer and editing images. On more than one occasion in the footage, Meghan (wearing a blue-and-white striped Frank & Eileen blouse, black jeans and nude pumps) can be seen smiling and laughing as she watches the images unfold. Towards the end of the video, Meghan turns excitedly to the camera clapping her hands.

The videos were accompanied by a small paragraph which explained that the collection is part of an “initiative supporting the Smart Works collective which will equip women entering the work force with the key work wear essentials they need.”

Meghan has worked with a number of brands and designers for the capsule, including close friend Misha Nonoo, Jigsaw, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. In an article for the September issue of British Vogue, Meghan explained, “When you walk into a Smart Works space, you’re met with racks of clothing and an array of bags and shoes. Sometimes, however, it can a potpourri of mismatched sizes and colours, not always the right stylistic choices or range of sizes. To help with this, I asked Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Jigsaw and my friend Misha Nonoo, if they were willing to design a capsule collection of more classic options for a workwear wardrobe.”

There’s no official release date for the collection, with the videos simply saying it is “coming soon”. Stay tuned to FASHION for more updates as they become available.
