The new ATLiens EP Ghost Planet comes out tomorrow on Bassrush Records, but guess what! We’ve got one last premiere for you, “Fading Out” featuring Sara Skinner. Of the tracks on the EP, this is definitely one of our favorites, along with the EDDIE collab “Closer” which we wrote about last month.
Sara Skinner is one of the most consistent and hard working vocalists in dance music right now, so it’s no surprise to see her once again here on this EP. With her demonic personality and gritty vocal style, she’s a perfect fit on “Fading Out.”
“Fading Out” is also, by leaps and bounds, the most melodic song on the EP. “Closer” and “Shelter” have already come out, so you know the kind of vibe that ATLiens are pushing. But this one is also the only track with a vocalist, so it has to stand out. Even taking that into consideration though, it still has a dark and ominous side to it to keep in with the theme of the EP as a whole.
