Moving to the United States from Russia, Arina Sakoun is pursuing her passion of becoming an A-List Hollywood producer. With many projects under her belt, Arina is living her dream working in the entertainment industry.
Her most recent project “The Ballad of Sadie LeBelle” is starting it’s festival run soon, and it sure to be a smash hit. Directed by Rodrigo Quezada and produced by Arina Sakoun and Rodrigo Quezada, “The Ballad of Sadie Belle” is a fun and exciting period film that pays homage to the old spaghetti western genre.
Synopsis: Shortly after the end of the American Civil War, a young woman seeks revenge for the murder of her father at the hands of a Confederate General. She now finds herself in a game of poker with three Confederate veterans, one of which she believes to be her father’s killer.
Other projects she has produced include “Bidding of a Drug Dealer”, “Pontianak”, “Sleepless”, “Party Girl”, “Alienation”, and “Leaving”.
“As a producer I love to learn about all the creative ideas from other people and help them achieve exactly what they imagined their projects to be. The most exciting part of it is seeing the results. Coming to screenings or receiving stills or clips of works in progress. Every time I look at them, remembering all the challenges we had to overcome to achieve this and thinking: “Wow, we really did it. It was all worth it after all”.
