Review – Many Miles Away “Get It Back”

Music

These guys bring it…”Get It Back” puts the rock back in rock-n-roll. The new release by Many Miles Away featuring rock guitarist Miles Schon and singer/songwriter and musician Michael Shapiro called “Get It Back” shows their unique style and addicting sound. Together they seem to be enjoying their project as does the rest of their fans.

Miles Schon comes from the bay area and has been surrounded by music all his life which by the way, includes his dad, Neil Schon the iconic band Journey’s guitarist. Seems Miles has managed to make it on his own as he’s played with artists of the highest caliber, including Scott Page from Pink Floyd, Grammy winners Jonathan Kane, and Will Champlin, Jane’s Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins and a parade of others. A self-taught musician Miles is known for his fiery riffs and his soulful guitar solos.

Michael Shapiro has also toured with bands including Great White, The Romantics and Cheap Trick. He has also played with rocker Bruce Springsteen. He has recently come off a residency in the Sahara hotel with his band Reckless In Vegas where they performed modern versions of songs by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Johnny Cash, Sonny, and Cher, and others.

Many Miles Away shows much promise in the industry. They will be releasing a full-length album this Spring which I’m sure will be completely wild. With any luck, they will tour in support of their music, and the world will be introduced to them. Watch out World…
