Transforming the Future of Literacy in Nigeria – The WishWall Foundation

Business, World

Hope beckons on pupils of A.U.D Primary School in Osun State, Nigeria, when the executives of iRead To Live Initiative tracked the state of the library in the community. In a swift reaction to address the situation, a team of iRead Initiative held strategic meetings with Simonetta Lein, Founder of the WishWall Foundation, USA, to support literacy in that community. With support from the WishWall Foundation and Simonetta Lein, iRead To Live Initiative has since mobilized skilled workers and artisans to commence the library’s renovation.

The renovation of the existing library facility will provide a conducive environment for pupils to read, study during leisure, and learn more about their mental health and healthy living upon completion. According to Simonetta, I am committed to literacy in Nigeria and am proud to support this library project to help many children in Nigeria and Africa. This project brings me so much joy, and we are very excited at the pace of what has been done so far.

I am very excited to see that this project started last year, and the pace of work done by everyone involved is commendable. Our students have asked us many times when the work will be completed. We are eager to see the finished work in the library. One of the Teachers added.

We sincerely thank the WishWall Foundation for supporting and helping us transform education and literacy. #ThankYouWishWallFoundation
