Searching for festive dressing inspo? The fashionable guests of Bloor Street Entertains 2022, a fundraiser benefitting AIDS research, have got you covered.

Staring at a social calendar stacked with holiday parties and New Year’s Eve bashes? On the hunt for fresh festive dressing inspo? Look no further than the chic boutiques and hotels of Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood where the city’s best dressed rubbed sequined and metallic elbows in the name of AIDS research on November 30. There, on the eve of World AIDS Day on December 1, the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) held the 26th edition of its Bloor Street Entertains (BSE) fundraiser.

The cause was worthy, the parties were hopping and, lucky for us, the looks were giving holiday. Bold colour (think striking Tiffany blue, joyful cerise and energetic neon green), glitter (naturally) and flourishes of festive metallic were all on display, with guests dining, sipping and dancing at 23 chic venues across the Bloor-Yorkville area including Holt Renfrew, Max Mara, Christian Louboutin, Louis Vuitton, Park Hyatt and The Webster. The official after-party, held at The Four Seasons hotel, was standing room only, where drag superstar Brook Lynn Hytes and dance artist Rêve performed in front of over 800 stylish party-goers.

The 2022 iteration of Bloor Street Entertains, co-chaired by the Hon. Scott Brison, Candice Sinclair and Maxime St-Pierre, wasn’t just a fashionable affair — the event raised nearly $1.4M to support CANFAR’s mission to end HIV in Canada.
