Moose Knuckles x Telfar is THE Canadian collab of the season

In what’s sure to be the best-selling Canadian collaboration of 2021, Montreal-based Moose Knuckles has teamed up with cult brand Telfar on a 17-piece capsule collection. Marking the NYC designer’s first foray into outwear, Telfar’s distinct streetwear edge transforms classic Moose Knuckles styles in an assortment that balances the practicality needed for a Canadian winter and the fashion sensibilities of well-dressed New Yorkers. Available on November 1, prices range from $225 to $4500.

The rumours were true: Skims x Fendi is real

WWD called it — the Skims x Fendi collaboration is real, and we got our first glimpse this week. The capsule collection encompasses a wide offering in rich colours, including gloves, dresses, bodysuits and bags. “My Fendi is about creating something for every woman, every different shape – and that’s something at the heart of Skims too,” explains Fendi creative director Kim Jones in a press release. “Kim Kardashian West is doing a lot to celebrate inclusivity — including her admirable work with social justice in America — and as a hard-working woman with a family, she is constantly striving to do her best. These values are something to celebrate.” Mark your calendars; the full launch takes place on November 9.

Zvelle introduces men’s loafers

Canadian footwear designer Zvelle is no longer just for women, thanks to founder and creative director Elle AyoubZadeh’s husband. “I made my husband these custom loafers in our factory in Italy because he said he’s never worn Zvelle shoes. Now that he has, he won’t take them off,” she shared in a press release. Rest assured, the Italian loafers — available in black and turquoise options — also feature the brand’s “Walk How You Want” iconic soles.

Through stop motion, the luxury label creates an immersive viewing experience as various accessories are sprinkled through the mythical world. It’s a wonderful time of year, indeed.

Montreal-based knitwear label Ça Va de Soi is the newest addition to the all-Canadian designer lineup in the third collaboration between Holt Renfrew and The Canadian Wool Council. Prince Charles (yes, you read that correctly) brought the initiative to the Great North seven years ago to raise global awareness about the environmental benefits of the natural textile. Canadian favourites Line and Smythe are back with all-wool pieces, including a sweater and a blazer, and there’s a throw from the aforementioned Quebec brand. Ten per cent of all full-price sales will go toward building a sustainable wool industry in Canada, so consider this your royal summons to shop.
