Rapsody, Kiana Ledé, Sinead Harnett & More Hit the Stage at ‘Big Femme Energy’ Release Party

Music

During the private release gathering, seven singers hit the stage to deliver tracks from the rhythmic Big Femme Energy project. Ambré was the first to perform at the dimly lit Winston House venue, where attendees enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres through the night. Some listeners gathered near the stage, while others watched the performances from the upper level, which included a photo activation and cozy seating. Ambré serenaded the crowd with her track “What You Deserve.” Later, Muni Long hit the stage to perform “Plain Jane,” Sinead Harnett sang “Crown,” SayGrace performed “If There Really Is a God,” Kiana Ledé delivered “Cut ‘Em Off” and Rapsody performed “Iconic.”

Femme It Forward, which orchestrated the event, is a female-led music and entertainment company with a goal of empowering women and female artists through consumer experiences, including parties, shows and panels. Femme It Forward is a joint venture with Live Nation Entertainment.

In addition to Thursday night’s festivities, Femme It Forward — which launched as an event series in April 2019 — has hosted more than 20 shows and panels across the U.S. The standout events include all-women lineups, with guests such as Cardi B, Jill Scott, Jorja Smith and Nicole Bus.

Femme It Forward also strives to give back to the community. A portion of every ticket sold by Femme It Forward has been donated to charities that support women with music education and career development. The organization has also donated to charities working to end homelessness, domestic abuse and incarceration.
