Interview: Maxim Model/Actress/Host Sherry Nelson

Celebrity, Style

Dark-Haired Bombshell Sherry Nelson placed in the Top 4 of the Maxim Magazine Cover Girl competition and is featured in the March/April issue on newsstands now. Her flawless beauty captures all that meet her at first glance. Her incredible beauty on the outside is matched by the incredible person that she is on the inside, making her stand out among the rest, and her beautiful persona will hold your heart hostage forever more.

You will be hosting a really cool event coming up …. tell us about it?

Yes! I am very excited to be co-hosting with Mrs. Japan the Spam Jam Festival in Waikiki, Hawaii.  It is a signature food festival celebrating their cultural tradition of Spam. If people would like to attend, admission is free, and you will enjoy great music and entertainment as well as an assortment of Spam dishes provided by some of Honolulu’s finest restaurants.  All of that with the gorgeous backdrop of an amazing tropical paradise I am sure this year’s event will be it’s most successful!

As a matter of fact, you’ve got several interesting things about to happen, please share?

It is an honour to be trusted by so many people and brands. As anyone who knows me, charity is very important in my life, so I am thrilled that I will be a Spokesmodel for the Light Up the Love campaign.  This is particularly important today in light of the global pandemic of Coronavirus because the essence of the campaign is to spread love to each other and to love yourself.  Being isolated or quarantined can be a stressful time, so the fundamental basis of the campaign is love, which we all need especially in times of sickness.

I am also very fortunate to be included among so many entertainment personalities for Shane Doull’s “Host of a Day in April” which is part of the next MTV type show for the U.S. Weed Channel.

Business entrepreneur Mike Gelardi has asked me to be part of the inaugural marketing strategy for his Healthy Belly product which I am sure many people will enjoy.

I was able to have published a review I wrote about the Pondhawks for Indie-Music.com.

How did you feel when your Maxim article hit the stands?

There are so many great things I can say about Maxim magazine. I could not wait to see myself within the pages of their magazine, I was very pleased with the photo and write up they did of me. I owe so much to Maxim, for without them offering the chance to take such a leap of faith I would never have arrived at the path I am taking today.

What do you think about when you’re driving alone in your car?

Living in the country I find driving helps to give me clarity, whether it’s preparing for an upcoming event or making financial decisions within my stock portfolio. I am a Cancer, so in a way, as I often like to retreat into my shell, the confined space of my car offers that brief time to block out the outside noise so I can focus on things I need to do and hope to accomplish the best I can.

This past weekend was International Woman’s Day, since you were very inspirational to the women around you, how did you celebrate?

I don’t like to look at things based on gender, but rather as a shared existence. I see every day as a celebration of life and an opportunity to seek out an adventure or goal and go for it!

If you were born all over again and could choose your gender which would you choose and why?

I do not identify things as male or female with respect to being a good and decent person, which I think we all hope to achieve as our legacy.  I am happy with who I have become and what I have achieved  and if you think about it, each day is a new day to experience new things and to do more  so with that, I am happy to continue as me as I try to continue learning, taking risks, and experiencing as much as I can.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

Being so new to the entertainment industry, I am committed to working as hard as I can in as many fields as possible in that in 5 years time people will know who I am, and that I am someone you can take a chance with because I work hard, am respectful  and what to do the best possible work I can.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever gotten, and the best advice you’ve ever given?

My father always told me to be honest, because without trust you have nothing. And I firmly believe that, whether it is in a personal or business relationship. I hope the best advice I can offer is to never compromise yourself worth and integrity. If you have misgivings about a certain situation, then trust there is something better around the corner.

Your persona is creating quite a buzz, is there anything you’d like to say to your fans, and your fans to be?

I am humbled by the kindness and trust so many have given me to be part of their lives or businesses.  I am very conscious that the life span in this elite industry is short lived, so I hope to leave as much of a positive impact as I can going forward.Follow Sherry Nelson on Instagram and Twitter @xoxosherryxo
