So it’s probably time to add one to your wardrobe.

Whilst Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle always looks amazing, there’s typically very little crossover in their go-to brands. Kate tends to stick to Alexander McQueen, Aspinal and Emilia Wickstead, whereas Meghan has a pretty steady roster of Canadian brands she opts for on the reg like Sentaler and Aritzia. There’s been a few crossovers, of course, like Smythe for example, and the pair are currently sharing a love for contemporary brand, Massimo Dutti.

In the past 24 hours, both duchesses have been spotted in coats from the Spanish brand – so you know it’s on to something good. This morning, the Sussex Royal Instagram account shared two photos of Meghan during a visit to animal charity Mayhew, for whom she is a patron, earlier this month. In the photos, Meghan can be seen wearing a navy mid-length coat with tie detailing at the waist. The coat is currently available to buy in Canada for $499 (there’s also a very similar looking button-up version that’s currently on sale for $129). For the outing, Meghan teamed the piece with a white and blue striped shirt and black trousers.

Then, mere hours later, Kate attended an event in Cardiff, wearing a tan coat from the brand. She paired the wear-forever piece with a wool polo neck and a pleated skirt from Zara (which we’re seeing a lot more of on her of late). The exact piece is the double-breasted button coat that is part of the brand’s limited edition collection and is not currently available on the brand’s Canadian website.

It seems the appeal of the pieces is their infinite wearability – block colours of navy and camel are timeless choices, and wool is essential to surviving chilly days here in the North when you’re sick of wearing your puffer jacket.
