In the days since The New York Times and the New Yorker published investigations exposing Hollywood’s most open secret, multiple women have come forward accusing movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual harassment, assault and in some cases, rape. The incidents take place over nearly three decades in locations all over the globe, but they all seem to follow a similar pattern: the women allege Weinstein approached them on the pretence of a business meeting, invited them up to his hotel room for one reason or another and then attempted to force himself on them.
Weinstein—who co-founded film studios The Weinstein Company and Miramax—is an established, powerful Hollywood executive with six best picture Oscars for films including Pulp Fiction and Good Will Hunting. He has since been fired and is reportedly checking into a rehab facility in Arizona.
According to The New York Times, Weinstein reached past settlements with eight women, who include actors, models and staff members in his own company. Between the two investigations and the women who have now shared their story on their own, there are now more than 90 women who say they had encounters with Weinstein—encounters that range from uncomfortable, inappropriate situations to allegations of rape.
Here are all the brave women who have spoken out about their alleged experiences with Weinstein, so far:
Alice Evans
Actress Alice Evans, who you may recognize from The Vampire Diaries, wrote an essay in The Telegraph revealing her disturbing encounter with Weinstein. In the piece, she also postulated whether it may have impacted her career in Hollywood and that of her actor husband Ioan Gruffudd. Evans had heard about what could happen in Weinstein’s hotel rooms, but she says that she never thought the producer would try something with her.

In 2002, at the Cannes Film Festival, Evans says that Weinstein complimented a recent audition her then-boyfriend Gruffudd had done for one of Weinstein’s films. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Weinstein allegedly asked Evans to follow him into the bathroom. “Just go. I’m right behind you. I want to touch your tits. Kiss you a little,” she alleges Weinstein told her. When she rejected him, she says Weinstein retorted: “Let’s hope it all works out for your boyfriend.” The next day, she was told Gruffudd was not selected for the part. Evans says after that incident, she was “never again considered for a Weinstein film and neither was Ioan.”
Amber Anderson
Following the dozens of allegations against Weinstein and the creation of the #MeToo campaign, The Riot Club actress opened up about her experience on Instagram. Anderson says that when she was 20, Weinstein “propositioned a “personal” relationship to further my career whilst bragging about other actresses he had “helped” in a similar way.” He then proceeded to take her hand and try and put it on his lap, which is when she left the room.

Ambra Battilana Gutierrez
The Filipina-Italian model said that Weinstein groped her and tried to get her into his hotel room. Gutierrez is one of the women Ronan Farrow spoke to for his New Yorker story—hers is the voice heard on the bone-chilling police tape where Weinstein pressures a young woman to join him for “five minutes.” (Even though Gutierrez was working with the NYPD to try and get Weinstein to confess to his crimes, no criminal charges were ultimately laid.) As W Magazine outlines, she was ripped apart by the tabloid press when she went public with her story in 2015. Many of the women in Farrow’s piece said that watching what happened to Gutierrez further deterred them from saying anything about their experience with Weinstein.
Angelina Jolie
“I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did,” Jolie told The New York Times via email. “This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.”
Angie Everhart
Actress Angie Everhart was staying on the same boat as Weinstein while attending the Venice Film Festival. She told KLOS radio that she was sleeping but woke up to the producer standing above her bed. “All of the sudden he takes his pants down and starts doing his stuff. He’s blocking the door. I can’t get out and he — I don’t know how to say this on the radio, but he finishes on the carpet of the floor,” she said on the Frosty, Heidi and Frank morning show.
Ashley Judd
According to The New York Times investigation that broke this story, when Ashley Judd showed up for a breakfast meeting, only to have Weinstein tell her to give him a massage or that she could watch him in the shower. She later told Variety about the encounter, but did not name Weinstein until this year.
Ashley Matthau
Ashley Matthau was a dancer during the filming of Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. While filming in Puerto Rico, Weinstein visited the set. Matthau told the New York Times that from the moment she met the film exec, he was aggressive. At the time, the now 36-year-old dancer was engaged, but Weinstein allegedly didn’t care. After dinner that night, Weinstein allegedly demanded she enter his car on the pretense that they would only be discussing business, “’Don’t worry,’” she recalled him saying. “’Nothing is going to happen.’”
They ended up in his hotel room and Matthau says the atmosphere quickly turned sexually aggressive, with the director saying he launched the careers of actress who had slept with him. Matthau said she declined, but he forced her onto the bed and fondled her breasts, stripping naked and masturbating while straddling her, “I kept telling him, ‘Stop, I’m engaged,’ but he kept saying: ‘It’s just a little cuddling. It’s not a problem. It’s not like we’re having sex.’”
Matthau returned to her home state of California and recalled the trauma to her then fiancé Charles Matthau, who encouraged her to retain lawyer John S. West, who has a history of fighting powerful men. Matthau received a $100,000 settlement with a legally binding promise of silence, but recently she said she’s willing to break this confidentiality, even if he pursues legal damages, “I want to do my part to help bring this to light so it doesn’t happen with other people in Hollywood or anywhere else.”
Asia Argento
The Italian actress and director is the first name in Ronan Farrow’s New Yorker investigation, telling a disturbing story about how Weinstein forcibly performed oral sex on her when she was 21. “A big fat man wanting to eat you. It’s a scary fairy tale,” she told the New Yorker. Argento later developed a relationship with Weinstein and had consensual sex with him multiple times over a period of five years, which she says she felt obligated to do because she was in a movie being produced by Weinstein’s company.

However, Argento channeled her experience into a scene in Scarlet Diva where a producer forces himself on a yong woman. Argento, now 42, is one of three women Farrow spoke with that claims Weinstein raped her, but she says that she stayed quiet because she feared that Weinstein would “crush” her career.
Cara Delevingne
After the news broke about Weinstein’s history, model and actress Cara Delevingne came forward, sharing her disturbing experience in a series of posts on Instagram. Early in her career, Delevingne, who is bisexual, received a call from Weinstein where he asked if she had slept with women.“A year or two later, I went to a meeting with him in the lobby of a hotel with a director about an upcoming film,” Delevingne wrote on Instagram.“The director left the meeting and Harvey asked me to stay and chat with him. As soon as we were alone he began to brag about all the actresses he had slept with and how he had made their careers and spoke about other inappropriate things of a sexual nature. He then invited me to his room. I quickly declined and asked his assistant if my car was outside. She said it wasn’t and wouldn’t be for a bit and I should go to his room. At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didn’t want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation. When I arrived I was relieved to find another woman in his room and thought immediately I was safe. He asked us to kiss and she began some sort of advances upon his direction. I swiftly got up and asked him if he knew that I could sing. And I began to sing…. i thought it would make the situation better…. more professional…. like an audition…. i was so nervous. After singing I said again that I had to leave. He walked me to the door and stood in front of it and tried to kiss me on the lips. I stopped him and managed to get out of the room. I still got the part for the film and always thought that he gave it to me because of what happened.”
Claire Forlani

Though she was approached by Farrow, Claire Forlani chose not to be interviewed for his piece in the New Yorker. After reading Mira Sorvino’s account, however, Forlani tweeted about encounters with Weinstein that followed the same “meeting in the lobby or restaurant of a hotel, invitation to his bedroom” routine other women have described. “Nothing happened to me with Harvey, by that I mean, I escaped five times,” she wrote.
Cynthia Burr
It’s been 40 years since Burr alleges she first met, and was assaulted by, Weinstein—and she says she’s never talked about it until now. They met, at the suggestion of her then manager, in the lobby of a New York City building, “It was just him and me alone. I was fearful I didn’t have the wherewithal to get away,” she told People, alleging that he came onto her in an elevator before unzipping his pants in a hallway and forcing her to perform oral sex on him.
“The way he forced me made me feel really bad about myself,” she explained. “What are you going to do when you are a girl just trying to make it as an actress? Nobody would have believed me.” Burr went on to make a name for herself in Hollywood, appearing in Scarface and Lethal Weapon, in popular soap operas and other television shows.
Ten years after her alleged rape, the 62-year-old actress told her late husband and her friend, Lee Chavez, “I’m really sad for everybody, but I’m really glad it out in the open. I finally felt like I had a voice.”
Dawn Dunning
Dawn Dunning wasn’t an actress when she met Weinstein in 2003, she told the New York Times. She was a design school student and waitressing at a nightclub, but he invited her to screen test at Miramax. She said that Weinstein later offered her a parts in three movies on the condition that she have a three-way with him. When she refused, Weinstein told her she would never make it in Hollywood.
Emily Nestor
Multiple accounts detail how staff members within Weinstein’s company knew his reputation. On her first day as a temp at The Weinstein Company in 2014, Emily Nestor was told by other staff members that she looked like Weinstein’s “type,” Farrow reported. Weinstein soon pressured her into meeting with him one-on-one where he told her about his sexual encounters with various celebrities and she says that she had to refuse him more than 10 times. “It’s a pretty clear case of sexual harassment when your superior, the CEO, asks one of their inferiors, a temp, to have sex with them, essentially in exchange for mentorship,” she said in the New Yorker feature. Nestor says that her experience with Weinstein deterred her from going into the entertainment industry.
Emma de Caunes
The French actress was in her early thirties when she met Weinstein and he convinced her to come to his hotel room because he had a book to give her related to an upcoming movie project he was hoping to cast. While they were in the room, Caunes says that Weinstein exposed himself to her and instructed her to lie down on the bed, telling her that he had done this with other women before.
Florence Darel
French actress Florence Darel was in her mid-20s when Weinstein started pursuing her, she said in Le Parisien. She denied his flirtations repeatedly but when he invited her to meet him at his hotel suite to talk about potential films, her agent told her that it was an opportunity she could not pass up. The meeting began formally, but she told People that it didn’t take long for Weinstein to turn the conversation. Despite the fact that his then wife Eve Chilton was in the room next door, Weinstein asked Darel to sleep with him and be his mistress while he was in town. He said that if she did, they could keep working together professionally as well.
Gwyneth Paltrow
Like so many of the other women reporting Weinstein’s unwanted sexual advances, Gwyneth Paltrow’s incident occurred when she was just 22 and began on the pretense of a work meeting. It ended with Weinstein suggesting they go up to his room for massages.
Jessica Barth
After meeting Weinstein at a Golden Globes part in 2011, Barth accepted the producer’s invitation to a business meeting at his hotel. When she arrived, Farrow reports that Weinstein, “alternated between offering to cast her in a film and demanding a naked massage in bed.” TMZ reported that Barth’s Ted co-star Seth MacFarlane intentionally made jabs at Weinstein in his 2013 Oscar Nomination speech because of the incident.
Judith Godrèche
French actress and director Judith Godrèche met with Weinstein during the 1996 Cannes Film Festival, and like so many others, accepted an invite to his hotel room based on his promise that they would be speaking about her career, and in this case, even a potential Oscars campaign. Godrèche told The New York Times that when Weinstein asked her for a massage, he tried to say that it was a normal American thing to do—but then he proceeded to try and undress her. She alleges that when she told others at Miramax about the incident, the told her not to say anything.

Heather Graham
Actress Heather Graham told Variety that Weinstein met with her and said, “I want to put you in one of my movies.” However, in the same meeting, he informed her that he had an arrangement with his wife that allowed him to sleep with other women when he was out of the country. Graham says that after that meeting, she avoided meeting with the Hollywood mogul one-on-one and now, reading the accounts from other women, regrets not speaking out about Weinstein’s behaviour sooner.
Heather Kerr
Heather Kerr, an actress who appeared in The Facts of Life and worked as an acting coach on Minor Adjustments and Moesha, held a press conference in late October where she alleged that Weinstein sexually assaulted her during a business meeting. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kerr says Weinstein”grabbed her hand and forced it onto penis and held it there.” When she pulled away, Weinstein allegedly said, “this is how things work in Hollywood and all actresses who’d made it did it this way.” She stopped acting shortly after that.
Hope Exiner d’Amore
“This has haunted me my entire life,” Hope Exiner d’Amore, now 62-years-old, said of the day Weinstein allegedly raped her. They were both in their 20s and Exiner d’Amore was working for his concert promotion company, Harvey and Corky Productions. She agreed to go on a trip to New York City with him to meet people in the industry, in hopes of furthering her career in the business. The two traveled together from Buffalo and checked into a Manhattan hotel, Park Lane, upon arrival. Exiner d’Amore says Weinstein approached her in the lobby, explaining that the hotel had made a mistake and only booked them for one room, so they had to share.
Exiner d’Amore says she agreed, though she felt the situation “ridiculous” but ultimately, harmless. As she was falling asleep, Weinstein slipped naked into her bed. “I told him no. I kept pushing him away. He just wouldn’t listen,” she told the New York Times. “He just forced himself on me.” He forcibly performed oral sex and intercourse on her, she said.
After the trip,Exiner d’Amore says the situation did not improve. Weinstein allegedly continued to ask her out, offering her to take her on luxurious shopping sprees. After declining many times, she was fired from her position. “It was a relief,” she said. “I hated being there.” That was where her film industry dreams ended.
Kate Beckinsale
Like Cara Delevingne, Kate Beckinsale shared her story on Instagram after the initial news about Weinstein broke. Beckinsale was 17 when she was called to Weinstein’s hotel for a meeting, and when she arrived, she was told to go to his room. “He opened the door in his bathrobe. I was incredibly naive and young and it did not cross my mind that this older unattractive man would expect me to have any sexual interest in him,” she wrote. “After declining alcohol and announcing that I had school in the morning I left, uneasy but unscathed. A few years later he asked me if he had tried anything with me in that first meeting. I realized he couldn’t remember if he had assaulted me or not.” Beckinsale says that over the course of her career, she has had to say no to Weinstein multiple times.
Katherine Kendall
Actress Katherine Kendall found herself in Weinstein’s apartment when she was 23, and at first, she thought he was taking her seriously, she told The New York Times. But then, he left the room and returned in the robe, asking her for a massage. When she refused, he left again and returned naked. She tried to leave but he blocked her way, asking her to at least show him her breasts.
Katya Mtsitouridze
Katya Mtsitouridze, the head of an international film promotion company and host of a popular Russian television show, says that Weinstein pursued her for many years. After the premiere of Finding Neverland, Mtsitouridze told The Hollywood Reporter that Weinstein invited her to his hotel room to talk about potential projects. In The New York Times investigation, former Weinstein employee Laura Madden recalls being asked by her boss for massages in 1991—at one point, she locked herself in the bathroom of his hotel room and broke down into tears.
Lauren Holly
After reading the New York Times story, Holly told the hosts of The Social that she was “floored because it was my story.” In the late 1990s, Holly was in her 30s and an established actress in Hollywood who had worked with Weinstein before. On one occasion, she met with Weinstein for a business meeting at his hotel, which Holly says is a completely normal in the industry so she wasn’t nervous at all. The meeting started off professionally, but then Weinstein excused himself, went into another room and returned wearing only a bathrobe. Holly says that Weinstein continued to discuss business and upcoming projects, but while he was talking, he dropped his robe and went into the bathroom and began to use the toilet. He then got into the shower, all the while continuing to talk to Holly. After getting out of the shower, Holly says that Weinstein dried himself but didn’t put the robe back on and came towards her. He said that Holly looked stressed and suggested she needed a massage, or maybe she could give him a massage. When Holly tried to get out of the situation, she says Weinstein got mad and started to tell her how leaving would be a bad move for her career. “I pushed him and ran,” Holly told the hosts of The Social. When she told people later that night what had happened, Holly says that they told her to keep the incident quiet.

Lauren Sivan had an encounter with Weinstein in 2007 that she made public after the recent scandal broke. The TV reporter was working in New York when Weinstein cornered her in a restaurant hallway, away from the areas of the restaurant that were open to the public, and attempted to kiss her. When she rejected him, she told HuffPost that he masturbated to completion in front of her.
Lauren O’Connor
In the original New York Times investigation, Lauren O’Connor is named as one of Weinstein’s former assistants who worked at the same location as Emily Nestor. O’Connor told the Times that the culture at the company was “toxic” and that when she was 28, a 64-year-old Weinstein had pressured her into giving him a massage while he was naked. O’Connor is one of the eight women who received a settlement from the Weinstein company. She also wrote a memo about the rampant sexual assault and Weinstein’s history of misconduct, which is cited numerous times in the Times investigation.
Léa Seydoux
French actress Léa Seydoux, known for her roles in Spectre and Blue is the Warmest Colour, wrote a piece for The Guardian after the news of Weinstein’s history of sexual assault broke, disclosing her own encounter with the producer. After initially meeting her in the lobby of his hotel with his female assistant, Weinstein invited Seydoux to his room for a drink. After his assistant left, Seydoux says that Weinstein jumped on her and tried to kiss her. She reportedly had to physically push him away. Seydoux says that in the years after, she saw Weinstein at many events and witnessed him making unwelcome advances towards other women. “Everyone knew what Harvey was up to and no one did anything… That’s only possible because he has a huge amount of power,” wrote Seydoux.
Lena Headey
Game of Thrones star Lena Headey’s first uncomfortable interaction with Weinstein was long before she was known as Cersei Lannister. The actress revealed on Twitter that she was working on The Brothers Grimm, which was released in 2005, when Weinstein pulled her aside and made suggestive comments to her. Headey shut him down, but the next time she was in L.A. she met Weinstein for a breakfast meeting. Headey says that Weinstein told her that he had a script in his room, but when the two of them entered the elevator, she felt something was wrong and she made it clear that she wasn’t coming up to his room for anything other than work. “I don’t know what possessed me to speak out at that moment, only that I had such a strong sense of don’t come near me,” she wrote. She alleges that Weinstein became visibly angry and when his room key didn’t work, he walked the actress back through the hotel and put her in a cab, telling her to keep the incident to herself. “I got into my car and I cried,” she wrote.

Liza Campbell
British socialite Liza Campbell told The Sunday Times that Weinstein lured her to his hotel room in 1995. She was working as a script reader for Miramax at the time, but hadn’t been getting as many scripts as normal. Weinstein invited her to his hotel room with the promise that they would sort this out. When she arrived, his assistant was there, but after the assistant left and they chatted about business for a bit, Weinstein got up and went to the bathroom and started running a bath. He asked her to join him in the bath.
Louisette Geiss
Actress and producer Louisette Geiss came forward after both exposés were published. She alleges that in 2008, she pitched a movie at the Sundance Film Festival to Weinstein.“He seemed genuinely interested in the script I had co-written. After 30 minutes he excused himself to go to the bathroom,” she said at a press conference. “He returned in a robe with the front open, buck-naked. He told me to keep talking about my film and that he was going to get into his hot tub which was in the room adjacent to his office, steps away. I kept talking as he got into the hot tub. When I finished my pitch, he asked me to watch him masturbate. I told him I was leaving. He quickly got out of the hot tub. As I went to get my purse to leave, he grabbed my forearm and pulled me to his bathroom and pleaded with me to watch him masturbate. My heart was racing and I was very scared.”
Louise Godbold
After reading The New York Times report, the L.A.-based non-profit leader wrote a blog post about how it felt similar to her own experience in the ’90s. “The details of what I have learned was not unique to me are out there now – the office tour that became an occasion to trap me in an empty meeting room, the begging for a massage, his hands on my shoulders as I attempted to beat a retreat… all while not wanting to alienate the most powerful man in Hollywood,” she wrote.
Lucia Evans
Described as a “former aspiring actress” in Farrow’s New Yorker piece, Evans says that Weinstein raped her. Evans, who used to go by Lucia Stoller, alleges that she met up with Weinstein to discuss her career and potential prospects and he forced her to perform oral sex on him. “The type of control he exerted, it was very real,” she told Farrow. “Even just his presence was intimidating.” After the encounter, Evans described developing mental health issues, including an eating disorder.
Lupita Nyong’o
The Oscar-winning actress first met Weinstein while she was a student at the Yale School of Drama in 2011 and had several disturbing encounters with him, which she shared in a recent New York Times op-ed. After meeting at an award ceremony in Berlin, Nyong’o says that Weinstein invited her to his home for a film screening. Before arriving at the house, Weinstein took Nyong’o out for lunch and attempted to bully her into drinking a cocktail instead of the juice she ordered. She refused. When they proceeded to his home, Nyong’o watched the film with Weinstein and his family but before it ended, Weinstein told the young actress that he wanted to show her something. He proceeded to take her to the bedroom and said he wanted to give her a massage. She instead offered to give him one, so she could be physically in control of the situation. But then he tried to remove his pants. She told him not to and left the room.
Not wanting to cut ties with the man who was introduced to her as the “most powerful producer in Hollywood,” Nyong’o kept in touch with Weinstein and was later invited to attend a table reading for the Broadway show “Finding Neverland.” She accepted and brought two of her male colleagues and had a lovely evening, leaving feeling that the boundaries of professionalism had been reinstated. However, months later, Nyong’o was invited to attend another screening followed by drinks with Weinstein. After ordering, Nyong’o says that Weinstein told her that they should go up to his private room upstairs. When she declined, Nyong’o wrote that, “He told me not to be so naïve. If I wanted to be an actress, then I had to be willing to do this sort of thing.” When she still refused to go to his room, he said their meeting was over and put her in a cab, insinuating that she had just made a bad move for her career. She later vowed never to work with Weinstein in the future.
Lysette Anthony
The British actress says Weinstein raped her in her home and sexually assaulted her on multiple other occasions over a period of many years, according to an October 15 report in Britain’s Sunday Times. “I was disgusted and embarrassed, but I was at home,” she says. “I thought I should just forget the whole disgusting incident. I blamed myself.”
Marisa Coughlan
In 1999, actress Marisa Coughlan met with Weinstein in The Peninsula Hotel to talk about starring in one of his upcoming projects. Coughlan told The Hollywood Reporter that it didn’t take long before Weinstein suggested that she become one of his “special friends.” He allegedly told her he had many “special friends” and if she went into his bedroom, he would help her career. She rejected his advances and left. However, Weinstein followed up with a script for his new movie and told that she was being considered for the lead. Coughlan says that Weinstein then flew her out to New York City, where they went on a series of date-like outings and he repeatedly asked her to come back to his hotel room. She says that she still declined and it was later announced that the role went to someone else.
Melissa Sagemiller
Weinstein made uninvited sexual advances towards actress Melissa Sagemiller three separate times during the filming of Get Over It in 2000. Sagemiller told HuffPost that one was during a lunch meeting, the second was when Weinstein tried to get Sagemiller into his hotel room to “discuss the script” and the third involved Weinstein having Sagemiller delivered to his private plane, despite her alternate travel plans. “I will definitely say that the whole atmosphere with my agents there at the time, and with everyone in the business, including his producing partner, who was a woman, was like, Don’t cause any trouble. Don’t say anything. You’re not going to be that girl because it will definitely hurt your career. This is Harvey. Harvey’s Harvey. Just don’t pay attention to him, ignore it, just move on,” Sagemiller told HuffPost. “I was never told, Are you OK? Do you want to say anything? Do you want to report this’ Nothing like that. It was just, That’s Harvey.”
Minka Kelly
Actress Minka Kelly posted a length Instagram apology to other women for complying by Weinstein’s request to keep quiet about her experience with him. The producer had invited Kelly to his room for a business meeting. She alleges that said no and they relocated the meeting to a restaurant, however, once his assistant left the table, Weinstein asked Kelly to be his girlfriend.
Mira Sorvino

The Oscar-winning actress, perhaps most recognizable for her role in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, told Farrow that Weinstein had made repeated sexual advances towards her, starting with an unwanted massage when they were in Toronto for TIFF in 1995. In an essay for TIME, Sorvino said that she initially hesitant to put her name on her story. “I was terrified of retaliation, not only professional but the safety of my children,” she said.
Paula Wachowiak
After seeing the reports in the New York Times and the New Yorker, 62-year-old Paula Wachowiak spoke with The Buffalo News about an encounter she says she had with Weinstein nearly four decades ago. Wachowiak says that when she was working as a production assistant for Weinstein on the set of his first movie. As part of her job, she was asked to take some cheques to Weinstein’s room to get them signed. “When I got to Weinstein’s room he let me in but he was behind the door when it opened,” Wachowiak told The Buffalo News in an email. “When I got into the room I realized that he was holding a hand towel around his waist.” He then took the envelope, dropped the towel and proceeded to sit on the bed and ask Wachowiak questions about the payments, she wrote. And then he asked for a massage. She refused. “I told him that I was happy to be part of the project but I would not touch him,” she wrote.
Paula Williams
It was 1989 and Paula Williams was an amateur model trying to make it in the industry. Days prior to the 62nd Annual Oscars award ceremony, Williams first met Weistein, who promised to introduce her to some influential industry folks at a party the following week, “I was really excited to meet him,” she explained to ABC News in an interview, “He said he was having a dinner party with a lot of people I should probably meet.”
A week later, Weinstein sent a car to pick up her up. To her surprise, upon arrival, it was just the two of them. “I walk in and it’s just Harvey and he immediately starts massaging my neck. I heard him open a bottle of champagne and I don’t think I even had a sip and he exposed himself. This was outrageous, and I wanted it to be okay when I saw him again and I didn’t want him to say anything bad about me.”
Williams said she managed to escape without suffering anything worse, hopping neighbouring fences and running in heels to get away from the predator. After this experience, she ended up quit pursuing modelling altogether.
Romola Garai
The British actress, known for her roles in Atonement and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, disclosed to The Guardian that when she was 18, Weinstein had her audition for him in his hotel room, while he was wearing only a robe. She said she “felt violated by it” and still has a clear memory of that night.
Rosanna Arquette
Weinstein told Rosanna Arquette to come by his hotel in Beverly Hills to pick up a new script for a film in the early 90s. Rather than meet in the lobby, she was told to go up to his room, reports Farrow, and he answered in a robe. He then, like so many of the other stories, asked her for a massage and then made sexual advanced towards her, taking her hand and putting it on his neck and then moving it towards his penis. Arquette denied him and says that in subsequent years, he took it out on her career.

Rose McGowan
Weinstein gave Rose McGown $100,000 to “avoid litigation and buy peace” after an incident in a 1997 hotel room. Though she declined to comment in the initial New York Times investigation, McGowan has since been vocal on Twitter, supporting the other women who have come forward and responding Weinstein’s supporters. On Oct. 13, she broke her non-disclosure agreement and publicly accused Weinstein of rape. McGowan further alleged that Amazon knew that Weinstein had raped her, saying executives told her there was no proof.

Sarah Ann Masse
Actress and writer Sarah Ann Masse was working as a nanny in 2008 when she was sent to help care for Weinstein’s three children at his house in Connecticut. When she went to his home to interview for the job, the mogul conducted the entire interview in his underwear. He asked her if she would flirt with any of his friends to try and break into the industry, and, after the interview was complete, Weinstein gave her a “really tight, close hug that lasted for quite a long period of time.” She told Variety that she feels like she dodged a bullet.

Sarah Polley
The Canadian actress and filmmaker wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times titled “The Men You Meet Making Movies” that she had an encounter with Weinstein early in her career in which the film producer implied that he could help her career if they had a “close relationship.” Polley, then 19, turned down the offer but writes about how this early interaction coloured her career. “I’ve often wondered how I would have behaved in the meeting with Harvey Weinstein had I been more ambitious as an actor,” writes Polley. “I was sitting in front of a man who wielded enormous power. If you were interested in being in movies directed by interesting filmmakers, he wasn’t someone you wanted to alienate.”
Sarah Smith
In an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail, Sarah Smith—her name has been changed for legal reasons—alleges that she was raped by Weinstein. An employee of Miramax studio for three years, Smith recounts the night in 1992 when Weinstein “went down to the basement [containing a bedroom for visiting employees from the US] and he called my name. I went down – he was standing there with nothing on. I started to back away,” Smith said. “He grabbed me and he was so big and powerful. He just ripped my clothes away and pushed me, threw me down. Then… I kept shouting, “No! Stop!” and tried to push him off. But he forced himself on me.” Smith recalls that she was so “mortified and ashamed,” she didn’t tell anyone. “We live in more enlightened times now, but back then I just thought no one would believe me.”
Sean Young
Sean Young, who appeared in the OG Blade Runner, says that Weinstein exposed himself to her when she was starring in Love Crimes, which was produced by Miramax. “I personally experienced him pulling his you-know-what out of his pants to shock me,” she told The Independent. “My basic response was, ‘You know, Harvey, I really don’t think you should be pulling that thing out, it’s not very pretty.’” She never worked with him again.
Sophie Dix
British actress Sophie Dix told The Guardian that what transpired between her and Weinstein was “the single most damaging thing that’s happened in [her] life.” When she was 22, Dix says that she “naively” accepted an invite to Weinstein’s hotel room. When Weinstein tried to force himself on her, she escaped to the bathroom but when she emerged, he was facing her, masturbating. When room service came to the door, she ran out of the room.
Tara Subkoff
Actress Tara Subkoff told Variety that after denying Weinstein’s advances one night in the 1990s, he rescinded his informal offer to cast her in one of his movies and she was ultimately blacklisted from acting in Hollywood. “That night I was offered the role, and I went out to a premiere after-party that Harvey Weinstein was also at. He motioned for me to come over to him, and then grabbed me to sit on his lap. I was so surprised and shocked I couldn’t stop laughing because it was so awkward,” Subkoff said. “But then I could feel that he had an erection, and I got quiet, but got off his lap quickly. He then asked me to come outside with him and other things I don’t want to share, but it was implied that if I did not comply with doing what he asked me to do that I would not get the role that I had already been informally offered.”
After the incident, it became so difficult for Subkoff to find work as an actress that she had to find new work. This led her to start Imitation of Christ, a fashion and art label. In 2015, Subkoff made her directorial debut with the film #Horror, which Weinstein (who’d refused to watch the film) “bad-mouthed… to everyone all over Cannes.”
Tomi-Ann Roberts
Tomi-Ann Roberts, who is now a professor of psychology at Colorado College, was an aspiring actress in 1984 when she encountered Weinstein. Roberts told ABC News that the encounter was “petrifying.” She recalls that when she met with Weinstein, he was in the bathtub and tried to convince her to “get naked.”
Trish Goff
The former top model met Weinstein in 2003 at a cocktail party hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Goff told The New York Times that, shortly thereafter, she was invited to lunch with Weinstein, and although she was nervous—”he had a reputation”—she was also terrified of never working again. When Goff arrived, she realized the pair was seated in a private room. “I asked him why he had wanted to have lunch, and he said ‘You were looking at me’—as if to imply I was interested,” Goff said. “I said, ‘Yes, I was looking at you because you’re Harvey Weinstein, and I had never seen you before.”
Goff alleges that Weinstein consistently asked her if she had a boyfriend, then he started putting his hands on her legs. “When we finally stood up to go, he really started groping me, grabbing my breasts, grabbing my face and trying to kiss me. I kept saying ‘Please stop, please stop, but he didn’t until I managed to get back into the public space.”
Vu Thu Phuong
In 2008, actress and model Vu Thu Phuong was cast in the thriller flick Shanghai, alongside John Cusack and Chinese actress Gong Li. In a Facebook post (translated by Saigoneer), Phuong revealed that Weinstein made several unwanted sexual advances towards her during the movie’s production. According to Phuong, the casting notice described her supporting role as one of a trouble-making model with lines in English and Chinese, as well as scenes involving martial arts. When filming began, Phuong’s role was promptly downgraded, and when the film premiered, Phuong’s character was on screen fleetingly.
Later that night, Weinstein invited Phuong to a meeting to discuss new movie contracts, to which he showed up “with only a towel around his waist.” He proceeded to ask her if she would be comfortable with sex scenes, then he said, “I can teach you, don’t worry. Many stars have also been through this. Just treat this as necessary experiences so that you’ll have a stronger foundation in the future,” according to Phuong. In the post, Phuong says that Weinstein is the reason “I shelved my American dream as well as the contract with Weinstein’s film company.”
Zelda Perkins
Like Emily Nestor, Zelda Perkins was working in one of Weinstein’s offices, where she and some of her colleagues were common targets for the producer. She was so disturbed by his actions that she actually confronted Weinstein about his pattern of inappropriate and abusive behaviour towards women. “This is a system which silences victims of all types of misconduct, protects the powerful and perpetuates abuse,” Perkins, who is now a film producer, told The Daily Mail. “That cannot be right.”
Perkins has since broken her non-disclosure agreement with Miramax Films to speak out about the sexual harassment she suffered because of Weinstein.
Zoe Brock
Zoe Brock, who now lives in New Zealand, told The Daily Mail that she met Weinstein when she was 23 and trying to get into the modelling industry. She met Weinstein and an assistant in his hotel room and when the assistant left the room, Brock says Weinstein “pretty much immediately took his clothes off.” He repeatedly asked her for a massage or if he could give her a massage; she said no and eventually ran into the bathroom. But that wasn’t enough to deter Weinstein, who began knocking on the door and asking her to come out. He eventually backed off and she was able to leave the room.

“Jane Does”
There are multiple women—both actresses and members of Weinstein’s staff—that Farrow says disclosed being sexually assaulted by Weinstein but chose to remain anonymous. According to Farrow, many of them feared Weinstein’s power in the industry and the “he said, she said” challenge of taking these types of allegations to the police. In the case of one female executive, her lawyers reportedly told her that making her story public could expose her to massive lawsuits because it would put her in violation of the non-disclosure agreement she signed when taking on her job. These “Jane Does” include one woman who alleges that the producer raped her.
