The series offers a “raw, powerful and intimate look at Bieber’s process of creating new music and the motivation for [his] new album.”

YouTube, the platform where Justin Bieber got his start over a decade ago, is bringing the story back full circle with a documentary about the Canadian singer. Titled Justin Bieber: Seasons, the YouTube Originals docu-series will premiere on January 27 at 12pm ET with new episodes premiering each Monday and Wednesday.

“When I was getting started, YouTube provided me a platform and a community where I could share music, experiences and moments with my fans,” said Bieber in a press release. “It feels great to partner with YouTube for this original documentary series. I want my fans to be part of this journey.”

The 10-episode series chronicles the making of Bieber’s first album in four years and “is a raw, powerful and intimate look at Bieber’s process of creating new music and the motivation for this new album told through the lens of his closest confidants, friends, collaborators and Bieber himself.” The series will also feature a behind-the-scenes look at Bieber’s private life, including never-before-seen footage of his wedding to Hailey Bieber. Viewers can watch the YouTube Originals series for free with ads, while the subscription service, YouTube Premium, grants ad-free access with all episodes available to binge at once instead of biweekly.

Speaking of new music, each episode of Justin Bieber: Seasons is scored with brand new music by Bieber, who is currently the most subscribed artist on YouTube with 47.2 million subscribers. In the series, the 25-year-old singer “reflects on the trials and triumphs of growing up in the public eye,” as he gears up for the release of “the most personal album” of his career.

2020 looks like a busy year for Bieber, as, in addition to his new album and docu-series, he will also be going on a world tour. The first single off his new album, “Yummy,” drops January 3. Stay tuned for more announcements from Bieber in the coming months.
