A superhero drama, set in the Marvel Comics Universe, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger stars Olivia Holt, Aubrey Joseph, Andrea Roth, Gloria Reuben, Miles Mussenden, Carl Lundstedt, Emma Lahana, and Jaime Zevallos. The superhero drama follows Tandy Bowen (Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Joseph). These two teens, from different backgrounds, share a strange connection and have started exhibiting unusual powers. Ty and Tandy soon find they’re better together than alone, but their feelings complicate matters. In the second season, they’re living very different lives and trying to stay under the wire, but find it difficult to stand down when evil is afoot.

The second season of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger averaged a 0.12 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 355,000 viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 40% and 38%, respectively. Compared to the other original scripted series on Freeform, Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger was a middle-of-the-road performer.

According to Deadline, the options for the cast expired this week. “We are so proud of Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger and the trailblazing stories this series told,” Freeform said in a statement. “We are also grateful to our incredible talent Oliva Holt and Aubrey Joseph for bringing these beloved characters to life, and showrunner Joe Pokaski for his vision. We’d like to thank our partners at Marvel Television for a wonderful two seasons and are we are hopeful that we can find another project together.”
