#EasyBreezyBeautiful indeed
It’s no secret that Riverdale actress Lili Reinhart is a beauty junkie. The actress has frequently spoken out about her own skin journey and the products she loves to use. Now, the 23-year old star has got a new gig – as the face of CoverGirl.
Reinhart took to social media this morning to announce the news, writing, “I am pinching myself at the opportunity to represent such an iconic makeup brand and be the face of their newest line, coming very soon. As a CoverGirl, my goal is to advocate for confidence and self acceptance in a world where so many young women feel compelled to change themselves. I can’t wait to start this journey.” The Hustlers star finished the post with the hashtag, #EasyBreezyBeautiful, signifying that the American cosmetics brand is bringing back its original tagline after changing it in 2016 to “I Am What I Makeup”.
In an official statement, Reinhart also said she is “honoured” to team up with CoverGirl as it “is inclusive of anyone who finds the joy in playing with makeup.” She added, “Since I was 13, makeup has been an incredible source of confidence for me and a tool that can be used to enhance the natural beauty that exists in all of us.”
The actress also did her own makeup for her first official portrait shot to announce the new partnership. This isn’t the first time she has taken cosmetics into her own hands, revealing in an interview last year that she also does all of her own makeup on set for Riverdale too. “We have a head of makeup and she’s great, but I know my skin better than anyone else and I know what works. A lot of the girls on the show have really beautiful, clear, smooth skin so sometimes I feel like the odd one out.”
In an email, the brand said of its newest recruit: “[We are] excited for Lili to join the family as she embodies a women who is unapologetically herself – and is authentic, talented and truly lives by what she believes in.”
There are no details currently known about the new collection Reinhart will front, however it is slated for release in Spring 2020. Watch this space.
