Rookie boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also known as TXT, is postponing the release of their second album, previously planned for August, their company Big Hit Entertainment announced Thursday (Aug. 8).

The English version of a statement shared in multiple languages on social media stated that began with the announcement of the K-pop rookies being able to attend an event, the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert in South Korea, on Aug. 11. It then explained that Soobin and Yeonjun were suffering from physical ills that were keeping the act from participating in group activities. The post ended with the news about the upcoming delay of their album.

“The release of the new TOMORROW X TOGETHER album, originally planned for late August, will be rescheduled for late September to accommodate a period of rest and recovery for the artists as well as the upcoming Chuseok holidays,” read the statement from Big Hit, referring to the South Korean autumnal holiday that will take place in mid-September this year.

According to Big Hit, Yeonjun, who previously was absent from the group’s appearance at the 2019 M2 X Genie Music Awards earlier this month, is suffering from back pains and resting in order to recover while Soobin was recently diagnosed with infectious conjunctivitis (pink eye), which is highly contagious and he was referred by medical professionals to take time to rest and recover.

TXT debuted in March with the release of their first EP, The Dream Chapter: STAR, which peaked at No. 1 on the World Albums chart. They are the second boy band produced by Big Hit, along with BTS.
