As if I could love Elohim any more, she goes and teams up with AWOLNATION for a cover of one of my favorite one-hit wonders, Harvey Danger’s “Flagpole Sitta.”
There’s a good chance you don’t recognize the artist name or the track title, but you’ve definitely heard the song if you listened to the radio at all in the late ’90s. Now, Elohim and AWOLNATION have taken the original, super uptempo single and turned it into a psychedelic, slow jam.
The cover originally came out in May as part of Elohim’s BRAINDEAD EP, which gave 100% of the album’s proceeds during Mental Health Awareness Month to charities that provide support to those facing mental health challenges. The official music video is out now — watch below.
